Apply now for ‘Facebook Foundations for Journalists’ training program

Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) Sri Lanka is calling applications from journalists around the country to follow ‘Facebook Foundations for Journalists’, a three-week training program.

The training is conducted online with each weekly training session covering three-hours of demonstration – led discussions.

The training covers Facebook best practices for journalists, Facebook Community Standards, online safety for journalists, and building communities on Facebook. To give a better understanding of the learning, the training sessions will be conducted either in Sinhala or Tamil language.

Participants who complete the training program will receive a participation certificate. They will also receive a communication allowance to cover their online learning expenses.

‘Facebook Foundations for Journalists’ is a collaboration between CIR and the Facebook Journalism Project.
