The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) is Sri Lanka’s first media institution dedicated for the promotion of excellence in investigative journalism in Sri Lanka and South Asia.

 

CIR is committed to the production of high quality investigative reports, support investigative journalists and investigative journalism initiatives, foster collaborative journalism among  journalists across South Asian and regional journalism centers, deliver cutting edge journalism training, contribute to the advancement of media literacy through certificate courses in collaboration with newsrooms and universities and to contribute to development of a highly skilled and ethical community of journalists.

 

CIR is dedicated to the promotion of transparency and accountability and to fight systemic corruption through investigative reporting.
