Calling for applications from Maldivian journalists

Countering misinformation through verification-based reporting

The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) in collaboration with the Addu Women’s Association (AWA) calls for applications from Maldivian journalists to counter misinformation through verification-based storytelling.

Applicants are required to duly fill the online application form and upload two samples of in depth reports/or add story links in support of the application.

The selected 15 journalists will undergo a short orientation program and will be supported by a panel of senior mentors from Sri Lanka and Maldives in the development of their stories.

Selected journalists are required to publish at least one fact-checked story within a specified time.

Women journalists are strongly encouraged to apply.

Interested candidates shall apply online on or before 20 January 2021.

Only those selected will be contacted.
