First English Training Program: Media Literacy Foundations Virtual Training Series – Group 5

The first batch of English medium trainings of Media Literacy Foundations virtual training series will commence today, 06 August 2021. The training will be delivered by Hana Ibrahim, Editor-in-Chief, Daily/ Weekend Express and Niranjani Roland, freelance journalist and media trainer.

This is the fifth overall training session of this virtual training series organized by the Center for Investigative Reporting and four sessions have been already completed successfully in the month of July with the participation of over 60 participants.

Media Literacy Foundations program is designed to empower media content developers and media consumers with intergrity tools and to promote ethical components of the craft. The program also aims at taking these information literacy tools beyond the community of journalists.

The program is delivered with the support of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU).

The trainings will continue throughout August with the aim of training 300 participants including journalists, media students, citizen journalists, media educators, bloggers, visual-story tellers and media consumers.
