Online climate fellowship offers story grants [East & South Asia]

Early-career journalists from South Asia and East Asia can apply for this virtual fellowship.

Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives (GAIA) is hosting a five-month media fellowship from August to October with twice-a-month online sessions.

Selected fellows will learn about climate issues, policies, and conferences, the connections between climate and waste, and hear from environment experts and top-notch journalists in the workshops. Fellows will also receive mentorship and engage in regular consultations.

Early-career journalists, with at least three years of experience, from print, radio, or television with a keen interest in climate, environmental, and developmental journalism are encouraged to apply. Interested applicants must have experience in covering and engaging with civil society organizations.

Story grants will be available to selected fellows.

Apply by Aug. 1.
