Boost: Reporting Grants for Journalists

ICFJ’s Reporting Grants program is designed to expand ICFJ’s offering to its global network by introducing individual reporting grants for projects that might not fit under existing programs.

We are delighted to announce a brand-new reporting grants initiative open to all journalists in our global network. ICFJ will award  $2,000 – $3,000 grants and possibly mentorship to at least two winning proposals. The deadline to submit a proposal is 11.59pm EST on Friday, November 1.

A review committee will select the best proposals. The reporting period will run for three months. Journalists who reside in a country where ICFJ does not currently offer an active program are especially encouraged to apply.

The first call for applications is focused on climate and climate change. ICFJ is looking for high-quality reporting that explores this topic in the Global South.
