Apply Now: Train the Trainer Workshop on Verification and Factchecking

The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) is calling applications from experienced media trainers and lecturers/ academics in the media education field for a Train the Trainer Program on Verification and Factchecking.

The training will cover how to identify and verify photos & videos and monitoring social media to combat disinformation.

The two-day program is delivered by DataLEADS, a data-driven Indian initiative aimed to create new platforms of data research and storytelling. It is devoted to spread ideas and insights in the form of data visualisation and reporting.

The training will be held on 22nd and 23rd December 2020 full day via online. The course has an interactive curriculum that will include quizzes, contests and engaging exercises. The program will be conducted in English.

Those who successfully complete the training will have opportunities to deliver training sessions in Sri Lanka in association with the CIR.
