On October 28, the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) and the Nepal Investigative Multimedia Journalism Network (NIMJN) brought 20 Nepali women journalists together in Kathmandu for a full-day training for a hands-on training natural disaster safety.
The training covered disaster preparedness, emergency response, personal safety planning, and self-care for journalists working on the frontlines.
The training was supported by Vital Voices Global Partnership, as part of its global initiative, Crisis Readiness Training for Women Leaders.
