In a joint letter to the president, 25 media rights-based organizations, media collectives and civil society organizations in Sri Lanka request for accountable and responsible involvement of the government to uphold the press freedom and the right to freedom in expression in the country. As a signatory of the joint letter, the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) looks forward for timely actions by the government on the claims made by the request.
