Data Journalism Training Fellowship

The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) in partnership with Thibi and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung is opening applications for journalists/data enthusiasts interested in developing their knowledge and skills in data journalism through a training and fellowship program.

This two-day residential program offers 30 Sri Lankan journalists an opportunity to receive training on the procedures of creating a data-driven story, from ideation to obtaining and preparing the necessary data, to analysis and visualisation. Special emphasis will be placed on data analysis and a focus on environmental and financial data. Applicants with an intermediate experience in working with data are encouraged to apply.

The training program will be held from 1-4 March in Kalutara. Transportation and meals will be provided.
